Emergency Nutrition, WASH, and Livelihoods Assistance to conflict-affected IDPs and Host Communities in Kordofan and Blue Nile state, Sudan:

At 2015 AORD received fund from Save the Children –Sweden to help conflict-affected IDPs and host Communities in South and North Kordofan State Abu Karshola, Elrahed and Um Ruwaba Localities to provide services on nutrition, WASH and livelihoods by achieved this activity:

Nutrition:
 -  Conduct awareness session /campaigns on Infant and young child feeding (IYCF) and CMAM to mothers and communities.
-  Select and train community volunteer, CBCPN members and CFS animators in screening for acute malnutrition, active case finding and follow up of program beneficiaries.
-  Undertake community level screening campaigns for screenings and referral of children and PLWS with acute malnutrition.
-  Provide quality target (TSFP) and (OTP) service for children and PLW with MAM and children with SMA at nutrition centers.
-  Establish and maintained Nutrition information and CMAM database.
-  Conduct SMART Nutrition survey and SQUEAC evolution.

WASH:
-     Access to clean, running water and sanitation facilities and improved hygiene practices, WASH intervention worked with community focused on ensuring accesses to safe water.
Livelihood:
-    Support cultivation of rain-fed homestead and irrigated vegetable gardens.
-     Small Ruminants Restocking.
-    Conduct 3 community training /awareness on animal's health and husbandry and food processing.
-    Training /Capacity Building.
